I know this is a crucial time for all of us to maintain some sense of normalcy, to get support when we are isolated and to continue working on our strengths to take care of our mental well being. Please know, I am also doing things to care for myself so that I can be there for clients fully. I am counting on you to be doing the same.
Do you need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment?
Teletherapy allows me to provide counseling and therapy to clients via live video conferencing and can be very beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is not possible. You can talk to me from the comfort of your own home or another private location.
Virtual sessions are an effective form of therapy, however, there are a few differences from what you experience in my office.
- It is recommended that you avoid the use of public WiFi and be certain that you have privacy.
- You’ll want to find a space that is quiet, free from interruptions, and where you feel comfortable sharing.
- If you have a headset, headphones or earbuds, that will also help with reducing noise and distraction.
Many people prefer video sessions instead of the phone, as we can see each other’s faces and expressions. While you don’t need a video camera, I do recommend you use one. I am happy to discuss the option that is best for you.
I offer teletherapy primarily to Colorado residents. The platform that I use is secure and private and you can see me face to face anywhere you have a computer, tablet or smartphone. I will send you the link to my virtual waiting room and you will be invited in at your scheduled session time. You can also check it out here ~ My Virtual Waiting Room.
As always, please let me know how I can support you. I look forward to “seeing” you soon!
